Sustainable leather innovations as a contribution to Earth Day

Earth Day is celebrated every year on April 22. Internationally, the focus of Earth Day is to protect our planet and conserve its resources.

Leather is probably the oldest example of circular economy. In fact, since the dawn of time, humans have used the hides and skins of animals they hunted for food and incorporated them into their culture. Using cattle hides to make leather prevents wasting a renewable resource, reducing the need for plastics as well as other synthetic materials from non-renewable sources.

As a responsible company, Boxmark is doing its part by making sustainability part of its corporate strategy long ago and constantly driving change through ongoing investments in the development of sustainable leather innovations. With the new X-Eco product line, we were recently able to bring three of these new developments to series production.
